The Disciple Jesus Loved

Well I have been reading in the Gospel of John. There's something curious about old John. Repeatedly he refers to himself as "the disciple He (Jesus) loved." Is as if Jesus didn't love any of the other disciples. Was John the most favored of all of Jesus' disciples? I wonder what Jesus thinks of this writing?

When John got to heaven, did Jesus have to admonish him and say something like, "Now John, it is true that I loved you. However, I also loved the other disciples. Perhaps you could have been more inclusive in your writing!" Do you suppose Jesus might ever have conversations like that with people when they get to heaven? Or does He just let it go, because it's really too late for them to learn anyway?

All I know is that this is a curious thing for John to have done. I keep a running list of things I want to ask God about when I get to heaven. They include things like, "Why did you make the skunks and mosquitoes?" Now I think I would also like a chat with our friend and teacher John. I want to ask him what exactly he meant by --- or thought we might conclude from his writing that he was "the one He (Jesus) loved!"
