Did you ever have one of those incredible ironies of life ... where you see something that's just too coincidental to believe? Many years ago, I was flying somewhere on Delta Airlines, I got to my assigned seat and there was someone in it. I produced my boarding pass to prove that the seat had been assigned to me. But the guy sitting in the seat had my name. So I bold stated my name with my middle initial (so certain that I was the superior of us two). To my amazement, he too shared my middle name. We both had booked the same flight on the same day, within minutes of each other. The airline assumed it was a double booking and cancelled one of us. They were only prepared to take one Larry G. Walker on that flight!
Well, I recently searching for available URL's for some non-profit ministry work I am thinking about doing. To my surprise, http://www.larrywalker.org is already taken. I assumed it must be that sports star that people always mistake me for (at least in the west). But it turns out that this Larry Walker has my heart for ministry and foreign cultures. Sure enough, this guy lives in Dallas and runs a ministry base that just about mirrors what I would see myself doing. The irony of this is amazing to me. What are the odds? So of course, now I think I must contact this fellow and just let him know how proud I am of his reaching out. I think I must begin praying for him and his ministry. After all, with a name like Larry Walker, surely God has a plan for this guy!
